"La Bamba" was an instant classic anytime The Newtons were in concert. Thus, I proudly present you with a live recording of "La Bamba," as performed at one of band’s last concerts. The recording quality isn’t the best and it’s sometimes a tad difficult to hear, but for this historical audio clip, I think it’s worth the trouble.
Love ya Dave
PS. I should probably note here that despite the breakup of the band, Dave still plays music (and is an extraordinarily talented musician, if I might add) and does some really good recordings. Please head over to his music page to hear more!

Oh. My. God.
this is amazing, even if it is amazingly bad. i have never heard it or any of our concert recordings.
This was from a concert on porter patch, right? open air? The drum miking sounds great, the vocals are too distorted, the piano sounds good, and the guitars are *completely* absent from this mix. but awesome nonetheless

Yea man, it makes me smile every time I listen to it.
The drums are like that on every song; perfect. I got all these tracks from Mill, and yea, you’re right about the location and everything.
Coolness!
